A team of Licensed Assessors are responsible for assessing providers against the Training Quality Standard. The Assessors go through a series of training workshops and assessment centres, as well as assessment during live assignments, to ensure they are capable of conducting high quality assessments. Only those assessors that demonstrate they meet the robust Capability Framework will be awarded their TQS Assessor Licence.

The Assessors must show that they have a sound knowledge of the TQS, the assessment process and that they are proficient in conducting whole organisation assessments. The majority of assessors that are currently assessing against the Standard have a background in EFQM assessments. More information about EFQM can be found here.

To make sure the quality of the assessments remain high, all Licensed Assessors undergo regular performance reviews and are provided with regular CPD to keep their knowledge current.
